Macon County criminal records are divided among the Circuit Clerk, the sheriff, city police and municipal courts, the Alabama Law Enforcement Agency, and the Alabama Department of Corrections. Registry records use the Alabama Sex Offender Registry through ALEA's Community Information Center. This private resource organizes those official channels so a reader can identify the office, portal, address, or telephone route that fits the record being sought.

Why We Built This Site

Alabama records do not sit in one public database. The Macon County Circuit Clerk keeps filed charges, docket events, judgments, and sentences. An arresting agency owns its incident or arrest report, while the sheriff is the first contact for sheriff-created booking and custody material. ALEA maintains fingerprint-linked Alabama criminal history and the statewide registry. ADOC handles records for people in state prison. This site brings the verified request paths, official portals, published fees, and known access limits into a single Macon County reference.
